About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required License: Valid state nursing license in hand required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP Must-Have: Flexibility to work weekends Previous charge experience preferred Ability to float between units Description: Looking for a strong caregiver who can support the evening shift. Candidates must have prior experience in Labor and Delivery. First-timers are accepted. The position requires the ability to float to mother/baby units. Weekend requirements depend on the length of the contract. No on-call requirement for this position. Strong candidates with necessary skills will be considered. The facility is an acute care hospital. Daily census includes low and high-risk labor patients. Candidates are expected to assist with various procedures such as cesarean sections, blood transfusions, and high-risk deliveries. Ideal candidates should be familiar with the use of external fetal monitoring devices. Experience with breastfeeding support and neonatal care is valuable. Applicants should be prepared to assist in patient education and discharge teaching. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills. A strong commitment to patient care is essential. All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the same state. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays. References covering relevant experience are required prior to the start of the position. Candidates must disclose any relevant background information during the application process.
