Quality Technician

We are looking for a Safety‑Oriented Quality Technician to join our climate‑controlled facility in Tolleson, AZ. Salary $24.25 per hour Shift differential of $1.00 per hour for hours between 7 pm and 7 am Opportunities to increase compensation based on skills and performance Eligible for Performance Pay program offering up to a 6% quarterly bonus Shift 5‑2‑2‑5 schedule (12‑hour shifts) Shift times: 6:45 am‑7 pm and 6:45 pm‑7 am on a rotating basis Rotation between day and night every 2 weeks Must be able to work this schedule Tolleson operates under a point‑based attendance program Responsibilities Verify that all materials meet SPEC for all jobs based on envelope format and supervisor instructions Perform and maintain departmental quality per standard operating procedures Stay updated on procedures regarding quality inspections, specification limits, and sampling frequency Monitor packaging for defects outside of established specification limits and report non‑conformance to lead operator Print labels and place materials on hold when needed Check incoming raw materials before production and when concerns arise about run capability Assist with hand packing when automation is down Maintain open dialogue with supervision and other employees to minimize delays Update incoming shift so information is passed accurately Keep the work area clean and organized Monitor all jobs for manufacturing defects and report non‑conformance issues Ensure facility employees comply with all standard operational procedures relating to quality Verify processes through internal audits Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned Act as the on‑shift go‑to person for quality‑related items Participate in continuous improvement activities Complete all required training within the specified time frame Use Teams and other computer‑based programs to communicate with the quality group Work overtime as necessary to cover absences or PTO Basic Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or military environment, or completion of post‑high‑school education in manufacturing/industrial fields Basic computer skills Effective written and verbal communication with team members, management, and other departments Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts on a 5‑2‑2‑5 schedule Preferred Qualifications 1+ year experience operating production machinery Experience performing quality checks according to standard operating procedures Experience with Microsoft Office Experience in a converting operation Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001 Physical Requirements Adherence to safety rules and wearing required safety equipment Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for more than twelve (12) hours a day in a loud/noisy, high‑volume industrial environment Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
