General Manager

An acclaimed, fine dining French restaurant in Manhattan is seeking an experienced and vision-driven General Manager to oversee daily operations, guest experience, and financial performance.

This confidential opportunity is ideal for a seasoned hospitality professional with a deep passion for modern and classic French cuisine, an exceptional understanding of beverage and wine programs, and a proven track record of maintaining world-class service standards in the NYC dining scene.

• Operational Leadership: Direct all front-of-house (FOH) operations and collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless synergy between kitchen and dining room service.

• Guest Experience: Act as the primary face of the house, fostering relationships with regulars, VIPs, and industry partners while maintaining an atmosphere of refined warmth and understated luxury.

• Financial Oversight: Manage P&L responsibilities, labor and inventory costs, budgeting, and revenue forecasting to maximize profitability without compromising quality.

• Team Development & Culture: Recruit, train, and mentor FOH staff, cultivating a professional, supportive, and service-oriented work culture.

• Compliance & Standards: Enforce strict adherence to NYC DOHMH health regulations, SLA liquor laws, and internal operational protocols.

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive management experience in upscale or Michelin-caliber fine dining in New York City (General Manager experience required).

• Expertise: Strong background in French culinary traditions, fine wine (French regions, elevated beverage programs), and traditional elevated service styles.

• Financial Acumen: Advanced understanding of restaurant P&L statements, inventory systems, POS software, and labor optimization.

• Leadership Style: Poised under pressure, highly articulate, with a hands-on management approach during peak service hours.

• Certifications: NYC Food Protection Certificate required. Sommelier certification (CMS or WSET) is a strong plus.

• Base Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

• Bonus: Performance and financial based bonuses monthly and annually
