The Role We are seeking a new Litigation Paralegal with 2-3 years experience to join our Litigation team. This role will be in person at our Washington, DC office supporting multiple lawyers’ matters in DC. What You Will Do Scheduling IME's. Docket Searches. Retaining Experts and Sending documents for Experts to review. Gathering Medical Records and other Discovery via Services, Authorizations, Subpoenas, Social media, etc. Tracking, Organizing, and preparing Discovery Materials going to counsel, experts, and other witnesses. Assisting Attorneys with Trial Preparation. Organization and Maintenance of files in our document management system. Other General Office Administration Functions. What You Will Bring 1 plus years workers comp experience preferred. Demonstrate creative thinking, strong research skills, and superior verbal and written communication skills required. Microsoft Office proficiency, attention to detail, and strong research skills, with programs such as Lexis Nexis, are required. Significant experience obtaining medical records via authorizations/subpoenas, and preparing medical chronologies in the DMV region is preferred. Demonstrated experience following the legal process in the preparation of subpoenas in DC, Maryland, and Virginia is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs.
