Staff Accountant

Platform Accounting Group is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, build foundational skills, and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with, and ultimately report to, a Senior Accountant, providing hands‑on mentorship and a clear path for development. What you will do: Prepare standard journal entries and assist with month‑end close tasks for assigned areas Perform account reconciliations with guidance from senior team members Support financial statement preparation and review processes Assist with audit preparation and pulling supporting documentation Work in NetSuite to record transactions and maintain accurate records Collaborate with internal teams and office contacts to resolve accounting questions Learn and follow established processes and SOPs, with a growth mindset toward taking on more overtime What we look for: 0–2 years of accounting experience; internship experience welcomed Basic Excel skills with a willingness to grow into more advanced functions Familiarity with accounting software; NetSuite experience a plus Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Good communicator who is comfortable asking questions and following up Reliable, organized, and able to manage time across multiple tasks Team‑first attitude with a desire to learn and develop What we offer: Ongoing informal and formal training and development Competitive compensation 401(k) and medical benefits Ability to work on a hybrid schedule #J-18808-Ljbffr
