Okoboji Motor Company is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead and develop our sales team in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

We’re looking for a proven automotive sales leader who knows how to desk deals, coach salespeople, increase closing percentages, drive profitability, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

• Lead, coach, and develop Automotive Sales Consultants and BDC Representatives
• Desk deals and structure transactions to maximize sales and profitability
• Set sales goals and monitor individual and department performance
• Coach the team to improve lead response, appointments, closing percentages, and customer satisfaction
• Monitor showroom traffic, internet leads, phone opportunities, and CRM follow-up
• Work alongside Sales Consultants to overcome objections and close deals
• Partner with the F&I Department to maintain efficient deal flow
• Assist with vehicle appraisals, trade evaluations, inventory pricing, and inventory management
• Recruit, train, and develop sales talent
• Maintain dealership and manufacturer standards while delivering an excellent customer experience

• 3+ years of automotive dealership sales management experience required
• Experience as an Automotive Sales Manager, Desk Manager, GSM, Used Car Manager, or similar dealership leadership role
• Proven success increasing vehicle sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction
• Strong experience desking deals and managing dealership sales operations
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Experience with dealership CRM systems and internet lead management
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Results-driven and comfortable working with sales KPIs and performance goals
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
