Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student success as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll play an important role in empowering students to find their voice and make meaningful progress—whether you’re working with elementary or middle school learners. This assignment is near Hopkins, MN, and involves two available roles: one at Palmer Lake Elementary (0.8 FTE) and one covering Brooklyn Middle School/Maple Grove Middle School (1.0 FTE).
The school year starts September 8, 2026, and concludes June 10, 2027. Expect a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours and a manageable caseload, serving 30-45 students with diverse needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Tier 3 or Tier 4 SLP license, including SLP school licensure (required)
- CCC-SLP certification
- Previous experience delivering speech therapy services in a school environment
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Dedication to fostering an encouraging, inclusive environment for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to assigned caseload, focusing on individualized goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Conduct assessments and identify specific speech-language needs of students
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation in line with district and regulatory requirements
- Engage in regular collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families for comprehensive support
- Participate in parent meetings and contribute creative strategies for student progress
