Position Overview As a Retail Technician for MTI you will install, troubleshoot, merchandise, and maintain interactive consumer electronic displays and devices at retail locations. The role also involves installing and maintaining our own security components for consumer electronics in major retail establishments such as AT&T and T‑Mobile. Job Type & Compensation Part‑time position Flexible hours W2 with bi‑weekly pay Paid training Paid drive time and mileage Candidate Profile We seek candidates with a combination of technical skills, customer service abilities, and experience working with consumer electronics either in a retail environment or at home. The ideal candidate is professional, possesses strong communication skills, and is comfortable driving up to 150 miles. Relevant Backgrounds Electronics Technician – experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting Retail Display Technician – experience setting up and maintaining displays Field Service Technician – on‑site maintenance experience IT Technician – information technology background Security Systems Technician – installing and maintaining security components Home Improvement enthusiast – experience installing TVs, speaker systems, or assembling furniture Factory, Warehouse or Fast Food Employee – experience with hands‑on tasks and frequent use of hand tools Responsibilities Our Retail Technicians will perform break‑fix, installation, and maintenance work and provide general merchandising. Responsibilities include: Installing, building, and maintaining displays, end caps, and fixturing Performing planogram resets and general merchandising tasks Conducting break‑fix repairs Competency & Requirements Must be over 18 years of age Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a vehicle capable of traveling up to 150 miles Previous merchandising or retail experience preferred but not required Technically inclined – able to set up TV, wire speaker systems, assemble furniture, and troubleshoot electronics without spare parts Adaptable to varied work assignments Excellent communication via phone, text, and email Android or Apple mobile device for uploading photos and data Flexible availability Monday‑Friday Frequent use of hand tools Physical Demands Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk, and/or hear, and drive Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds Climb a ladder no more than 10 feet Work Environment Typical retail environment with average noise and lighting levels Constant interruptions Equal Employment Opportunity Mobile Technologies, INC. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
