Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft)

Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Oxford, NC .

Pay Rate Range: $35–$42 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

Candidates willing to work the night shift are preferred. The workweek begins on Sunday.

Fixed Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, following either the B or D shift schedule.

Alternating Schedule: 36/48-hour rotation, following this pattern:

• 2 days on, 2 days off

• 3 days on, 2 days off
\n
• 2 days on, 3 days off
\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
\n
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace faulty components to minimize equipment downtime.
\n
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
\n
• Follow plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, confined space protocols, and hot work permits.
\n
• Complete assigned work orders promptly and provide timely updates on maintenance activities.
\n
• Apply logical troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
\n
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including the maintenance shop and oil storage area.
\n
• Identify and address safety concerns immediately.
\n
• Use equipment manuals and training resources to support repairs and ongoing technical development.
\n
• Manage daily tasks efficiently and demonstrate accountability, dependability, and teamwork.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
\n
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
\n
• Familiarity with industrial safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE, confined space, and hot work requirements.
\n
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, technical instructions, and work orders.
\n
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
\n
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in challenging industrial conditions.
\n
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining equipment reliability and plant performance.
