2nd Shift CNC Operator at Rosenboom Machine & Tool Summary: Operates and sets up a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Responsibilities Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. Demonstrates a working understanding of shop math: practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, practical algebra, geometric construction, and essentials of trigonometry. Ability to read and interpret prints. Ability to take measurements and verify conformance to the print. Mechanical aptitude, including a basic understanding of the various types of tools used in the machining process.
