MACHINE OPERATOR - 2ND SHIFT

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our Sheldon, IA plant. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of our feed manufacturing processes while helping ensure product quality, workplace safety, and production efficiency. This is a 2nd shift, hourly position working 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and offers competitive pay, advancement opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, IA. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently Follow warehouse and loading protocols Ensure KNG's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging Record and document all feed manufactured during shift Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED 1 plus years of manufacturing experience Farming background a plus Mechanical aptitude preferred OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Basic computer knowledge Good communication, verbal, written and math skills Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers Ability to work as a team member Thorough understanding of cGMP's Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs from floor to working height as job requires Ability to operate a forklift Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor. #J-18808-Ljbffr KENT
