We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant professional to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting functions, accounts receivable and account payable processing, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking balances, and follow-up
• Enter sales orders and ensure accuracy in system records
• Issue purchase orders and support procurement processes
• Process invoices and verify billing details
• Handle receiving transactions and match to purchase orders
• Perform customer credit checks and maintain credit files
• Conduct collections activities and follow up on past due accounts
• Apply and record cash receipts accurately
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and ensuring timely payment
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software
• Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner
• Associate’s degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Global Shop or other ERP manufacturing software a plus
