Minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting or related functions. governmental or school district experience preferred; Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets and financial reports. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), governmental accounting standards, internal controls, and standard accounting procedures. Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, evaluate accounting issues, and recommend effective and compliant solutions and process improvements. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a customer service focus. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Annual Contract:244 Days

SALARY:

$58,763 (BA-3)

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Review and approve electronic purchase orders according to district policies and guidelines Reconcile assigned bank accounts and communicate with district personnel to clear outstanding items. Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and communicate with district personnel to clear outstanding items. Clear due to/from accounts including warehouse inventory clearing and prepare associated transfers to distribute funds. Work with finance office personnel and internal audit to mitigate problem areas at campus and department locations. Prepare assigned monthly journal entries for month-end and year-end close. Assist with the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. Perform related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Financial Services or the Director of Financial Services.
