An established pediatric dental practice is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our administrative team. This position plays a vital role in the financial success of the practice by managing patient accounts, insurance claims, payment posting, and account reconciliation while providing exceptional service to patients and families. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in dental billing and insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely
• Review and apply Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Balance and reconcile patient and insurance accounts
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding insurance claims
• Research claim delays, denials, and payment discrepancies
• Process claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
• Communicate financial responsibilities and insurance information to patients
• Assist patients with payment options and payment arrangements
• Generate patient statements and maintain accurate account records
• Follow up on unpaid balances and delinquent accounts
• Serve as a liaison between patients, insurance companies, and the dental team to resolve billing concerns

Qualifications

• Previous dental billing, insurance coordination, or financial coordination experience required
• Knowledge of dental insurance claims, EOBs, and account reconciliation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar software
• Experience managing accounts receivable and insurance aging reports
