Warehouse WorkerThe primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively.ResponsibilitiesReceive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.Essential SkillsVerbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Team player and detail-oriented.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.5-7 years of experience required.Willing to work a flexible shift.Willing and able to stand at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.Willing and able to perform tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.Why Work Here?This role offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring that life-saving prescriptions are shipped out efficiently every day. Watching a YouTube video about the work environment is recommended to get a better understanding of the facility.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
