Requisition ID: 182492 Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: DHO Kiewit Supply Network Department: Supply Chain Management Market: Corporate Home Office Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and tracking project materials throughout the material lifecycle, from procurement and receipt through storage, inventory control, issuance, and final installation support. This role works closely with Procurement, Construction, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Suppliers, and Project Management teams to ensure materials are available when needed to support project execution. The Materials Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring material deliveries, supporting receiving and inspection activities, and ensuring materials are properly stored, preserved, and distributed to the field. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Location Currently we are looking for people to support projects in the following locations: Barnard, Missouri Wichita, Kansas Point Pleasant, West Virginia Houston, Texas Must be willing to go where the work is, both now and in the future. Responsibilities Track materials from purchase order release through delivery, receipt, storage, and issuance. Coordinate with Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Suppliers, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability aligns with project schedules. Monitor material deliveries and communicate potential shortages, delays, or other supply chain risks. Support receiving activities by verifying quantities and documentation against purchase orders and shipping records. Assist with material inspections and resolution of receiving discrepancies, damaged shipments, and inventory issues. Maintain accurate inventory records, material locations, and transaction documentation within company systems. Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliations. Coordinate material storage, preservation, handling, and distribution activities. Prepare and maintain material status reports, inventory reports, and other project-related documentation. Support warehouse operations, laydown yard activities, and material issuance processes. Assist with the resolution of logistics, transportation, and material control issues. Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality requirements, and material management procedures. Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and inventory optimization. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2 years' of experience supporting materials management, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, procurement, or construction projects. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
