Staff DevOps Engineer / Remote

Overview My client is a publicly traded precision medicine and AI TechBio company focused on cancer diagnostics. They use whole exome and whole transcriptome sequencing combined with machine learning to help oncologists make better, faster treatment decisions — and have helped over half a million cancer patients to date. The work is meaningful and the company is growing. Role They just wrapped a major cloud migration — nearly all of their infrastructure now lives in AWS — and they're hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the platform going forward. This sits within the infrastructure engineering org and reports directly to the team manager. Responsibilities Lead EKS cluster design and management Drive PoC initiatives Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Mentor junior engineers Continue evolving a modern AWS environment after the migration Qualifications 7+ years in DevOps or SRE 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience Deep Kubernetes/EKS expertise — cluster management, troubleshooting, optimization Strong Terraform background GitLab CI experience Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or a related field Compensation and Benefits The role is fully remote with a base of $140K–$179K.
