Fast Growing Construction Company Location: Anaheim, CA (100% Onsite) Company Type: General Contractor Project Range: $100k – $200M Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year Contact: View email address on click.appcast.io Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of diverse construction projects ranging from small-scale builds to $200M large-scale developments. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate job costing, billing, and compliance throughout the duration of each project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry and proficiency in Sage 300/Timberline. Benefits 401(k) Match Health insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance Bonus opportunities Responsibilities Manage all aspects of project accounting, including job cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Prepare and submit AIA billing and invoicing. Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely tracking of project costs and revenues. Utilize Sage, Vista Viewpoint, and other accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and generate financial reports. Review and approve all project-related invoices and ensure they are coded and allocated correctly. Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances. Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders to improve financial processes and systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry. Proficient in job cost, construction accounting, project accounting, T&M, time & material. Experience with Sage, Vista Viewpoint, AIA billing, and AIA invoicing. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
