Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why you'll love this job​This job is a member of the Integrated Operation Team within the Integrated Operations Division.​This job provides Flight Operations support in the areas of performance data and publications, weight and balance, route and payload studies and performance data automation.What you'll doAnalyzes airport runway information required to create takeoff performance dataCreates and analyzes Engine-Inoperative Special Turn Procedures for airport runways requiring special departure considerations; coordinate with appropriate Flight Operations personnel to ensure the viability of proposed proceduresAnalyzes mission capabilities for specific city pairsPerforms weight & balance analysis and maintains aircraft weight records as requiredCreates and loads data required for use of dispatch systems and other support systemsCreates data required for the Flight Manual (FM) and Performance Handbook (PH)Responds to queries by pilots, dispatchers, load agents and operations planning personnel as requiredResponsible for handling aircraft engineering and analysis efforts for operations groups and participating in departmental technology projectsProvides technical support duties for a fleet of aircraft and will act as business unit coordinator for applications developmentMonitors aircraft performance and related databases, data mining & analysis, developing business case for technology projects, identifying customer requirements, sourcing testing and quality assurance tools, and documentationAudits performance data, defines new business processes, use of standard industry analysis techniques such as engineering analysis, data modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience​Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringKnowledge of jet aircraft performance, navigation and/or weight and balancePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceMasters degree in Engineering5+ years of experience in aircraft performance or weight & balance engineeringExperience with Airbus and Boeing performance programsExperience with database and programming softwareProficient with Microsoft Office Software and knowledge of FORTRAN, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, .NET, SAS, Java, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and XML/HTMSkills, Licenses & CertificationsAbility to effectively communicate operational topics to other employees as well as with manufacturing representativesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, shift priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
