Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using both recognized assessment tools and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment approaches to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Implement individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language fluency, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to develop and implement comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families, providing tools and resources to foster progress outside of the therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapies as needed, ensuring seamless patient care throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is needed within the first month of employment.
