Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant will perform both clinical and clerical tasks within the office. The duties and responsibilities include demonstrating ability to scan and route outside records, ensuring complete charts prior to patient visits, obtaining authorizations for procedures, medications, and services, and performing receptionist duties as required. The Medical Assistant will also promptly and professionally answer incoming telephone calls, document and direct calls appropriately, check patients out, schedule patients for tests and appointments, and document and process follow-up in the EMR. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will participate in daily management of scanning folders and in-bound faxing, complete medical records requests, room patients in a timely fashion, assist patients in dressing and undressing, obtain vital signs, verify medications and allergies, assist providers in examinations and procedures, perform EKGs, pulse oximetry, spirometry, hearing and vision exams, tympanogram and cerumen removal, demonstrate sterile technique, perform phlebotomy and waived testing, maintain sanitary and orderly conditions in the clinical areas, maintain equipment and instruments, wrap instruments for sterilization, change sterilization solution, ensure proper calibration and functionality of sterilization equipment, identify equipment repairs or upgrades, and complete all required training and continuing education as directed.Salary: $18.00 to $24.50 per hour DOE
