Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Specialist The Position JCMLiving is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Specialist to join our professional property management team. This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of our apartment community by delivering exceptional customer service, maximizing occupancy, supporting property operations, and fostering positive resident relationships. The ideal candidate is an organized, results-driven professional with experience in multifamily property management, leasing, and resident services. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess: Previous experience in market rate property management and leasing. Strong leasing, sales, marketing, and customer service skills with the ability to convert prospects into residents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software (Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, Entrata, or similar platforms preferred). Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Primary Responsibilities Leasing & Sales Greet prospective residents and provide a welcoming, professional first impression. Conduct apartment and community tours that highlight amenities and lifestyle benefits. Respond promptly to phone, email, and online inquiries. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective residents to maximize leasing opportunities. Prepare lease agreements, renewals, and related documentation accurately. Meet or exceed occupancy and leasing goals through effective sales techniques and customer service. Assist with resident retention initiatives and lease renewal efforts. Property Operations Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the community. Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and lease requirements. Process rental payments and assist with rent collection activities. Monitor resident accounts and assist with delinquency follow-up when appropriate. Coordinate service requests with the maintenance team and ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate resident files, reports, and property records. Assist with move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and apartment turnover coordination. Resident Relations Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents. Respond professionally to resident concerns and work toward timely resolution. Build positive relationships that promote resident satisfaction and long-term retention. Coordinate resident communications and community announcements. Plan and execute resident appreciation events and community engagement activities. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain leasing traffic, prospect, and marketing reports. Manage CRM and lead management systems to ensure timely follow-up. Prepare correspondence, reports, and other administrative documentation. Support marketing initiatives, social media efforts, and outreach programs that promote community occupancy.
