Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Med Surg ICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (06:30–18:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | 2 out of 3 major holidays or as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU setting serving adult and pediatric patients (15 years and older) with diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, GI bleeds, and surgical cases
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry; no monitor techs on unit
• Manage and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilators
• Maintain and manage lines and monitoring devices including CVPs, A-lines, Swans, EV-1000, and ICP monitoring
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, excluding Maternity/NICU

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, Impella, or intra-aortic balloon pump
• Familiarity with neuro surgery or thrombectomy patient populations
• Experience in a high-volume tertiary care environment
• Strong critical thinking skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
