Director, Finance Business Partner

Overview Director, Finance Business Partner role within Mastercard’s Operations and Technology (O&T) business unit, focusing on financial planning, performance management, and investment evaluation for a technology-focused area. Works closely with technology leaders and their teams to optimize investments and enable global payments. Responsibilities Drive financial reporting needs for a designated tech area (e.g., products, issuers) including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and target setting. Provide financial insights to leadership with advanced understanding of budgeting, long-range planning, and detailed forecasting. Partner with regions, business units, and corporate to develop, analyze, and validate new business opportunities. Conduct new opportunity assessments and provide counsel on ongoing deals and Customer Business Agreements (CBA). Execute large, complex agreements leveraging subject matter expertise in financial and data technology tools. Apply the Technology Business Management (TBM) framework to allocate technology costs and enable product P&L management. Support strategy and process improvements to align with market objectives and implement agreed improvements. Ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policies; may perform control testing. Manage a team, set goals, conduct performance appraisals, and coach top talent. Experiences / Qualifications Track record of building internal and external business partnerships to understand stakeholder needs and objectives. Experience overseeing global, complex management reporting (monthly results, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets). Experience advising the business on risk and opportunities using advanced analytical techniques and awareness of external trends. Strong background in strategy and process improvement, with procedures for implementation. Proven ability to manage high-risk issues to ensure completeness and efficiency. Demonstrated capability in change management and supporting corporate cultural initiatives. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
