DescriptionThe Kravis Children's Hospital, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, NY is recruiting for a fifth BC/BE pediatric nephrologist. About Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital:Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital is a comprehensive tertiary children’s hospital. It includes a pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit and an active pediatric epilepsy surgical program. U.S. News & World Report consistently selects Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation. In the 2024-2025 annual edition of “Best Children’s Hospital” report, Kravis ranked in three pediatric specialties. We’re located in Manhattan and accessible from the NYC boroughs, surrounding towns, and northern NJ. ResponsibilitiesCandidates should have experience with all aspects of clinical pediatric nephrology. There are opportunities to become involved in or direct a growing AKI and CRRT program offering multiple modalities of therapy including CARPEDIEM. In addition to working with trainees of all levels routinely, there is also potential opportunity for a designated academic role in our ACGME-certified fellowship program now in its 4th decade of success. There are also many other specific opportunities to pursue an investigational or administrative track at Mount Sinai. Applicants with a research profile or training in QI are encouraged to apply as these will mesh well with the position and there is broad support for these activities within the Division and Department. An academic rank of assistant to associate professor is anticipated, with actual rank commensurate with experience.
