Full-Time Pediatrician - Outpatient Clinic (Physician #)

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The Department of Pediatrics and its division of Ambulatory Pediatrics is one of the busiest in the system with more than 10,000 individual patients served per year and also serves as a referral center for developmental pediatrics within our community network of pediatricians. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

Responsibilities

Contribute to clinical care and teaching of developmental behavioral pediatrics in child and adolescent populations across several areas of programmatic/clinical need, including attention‑deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disability, among others.

Clinical care and teaching will be provided in the outpatient setting and will incorporate varied diverse patient populations, including underserved, lower socio-economic and immigrant families.

Teaching will entail clinical supervision and mentorship of medical students and residents as well as providing didactic teaching and guest lectures.

The ideal candidate has a strong educational background and an interest in professional development and ongoing medical education.

The position will also provide opportunities for research, curriculum development and QI and growth in clinical research skills.

Qualifications

MD degree

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics with experience in inpatient pediatrics and/or a BE/BC pediatric hospitalist

Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number

We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. We also offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including CME.

Compensation ranges from 236K to 241K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full‑time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
