New York City Children’s Center (NYCCC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited hospital, is recruiting a licensed and board-certified physician to join their team as a Medical Specialist 2. Medical Specialists at NYCCC collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care by providing comprehensive and individualized treatment to children and adolescents including: Obtaining, reviewing, updating, and documenting information such as medical histories, test results, diagnoses, and treatments Conducting physical examinations and treating medical conditions and illnesses Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures Discussing procedures, test results, and treatments with individuals, families, and/or caregivers Consulting with medical specialty providers and referring individuals to specialty providers based on diagnostic and treatment needs Participating in discharge planning and assisting with facilitating medical follow up after discharge Providing emergency medical care including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) About NYCCC NYCCC is a multi-faceted community-based psychiatric center providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents in the greater New York City area.
