Brake Press OperatorMJ Daniels is actively seeking a skilled and dependable Brake Press Operator to join our growing team in Johnstown, PA. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision work and can operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with press brakes and a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.Key Responsibilities:Set up, program, and operate manual press brakes to bend and form metal componentsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders with a high degree of accuracyPerform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specificationsMake real-time machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and production efficiencyWork with a variety of materials and thicknesses in a fabrication environmentMaintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspaceCollaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlinesQualifications:3-5 years of brake press experience preferred, with strong emphasis on CNC equipmentExperience in sheet metal fabrication environments strongly preferredProficiency programming CNC press brakes (such as Trumpf, Amada)Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc.)Strong understanding of tolerances and quality control standardsKnowledge of bending techniques and bending allowances preferredExperience setting up tooling, dies, and machine programs preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to troubleshoot machine and tooling issuesAbility to work independently and maintain high-quality standardsPhysically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsWhat We're Looking For:Someone who shows up ready to work and takes ownership of their outputA detail-oriented operator who values accuracy and efficiencyA team player who can also run their machine with confidence and minimal oversightSchedule & Pay:Full-time positionCompetitive pay based on experience (average salary range is $25-30/hour)
