Job description:
- 3+ years in operations, business operations, or a logistics/ops role - ideally at a startup, hardware company, or other fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
- Comfortable reading and reasoning about contracts; detail-oriented with terms, dates, and numbers.
- Hands-on experience with invoicing and basic finance/accounting workflows; familiarity with sales tax compliance is a strong plus (we can support you on the specialist pieces).
- Experience coordinating physical logistics, shipping, or inventory/warehouse operations.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to build process from scratch rather than inheriting it.
- Strong communicator who can work across sales, finance, founders, and external partners.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hardware-as-a-service, rental, or asset-tracking business models.
- Familiarity with multi-state tax compliance tools (e.g., Avalara, TaxJar) or willingness to own that setup.
- Experience with QuickBooks/NetSuite, contract management, or inventory systems.
