JOB OVERVIEW:
The development and solicitation of business from the Corporate Sales and Business Traveler Market to ensure the necessary advance bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation for the hotel.
REPORT TO: Director of Sales and Marketing
Direct the solicitation efforts of the corporate sales and business traveler sales staff through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, date and space commitments for group room sales within the hotel.
Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of business traveler sales to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast, Marketing Budget, Lead Management System, Booking Report, star reports and Sales Meeting minutes.
Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new business traveler marketing strategies.
Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Internally promote Crescent programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of sales experience with a full service hotel is preferred.
Corporate Sales or Business travel sales manager experience in the Newark market is a plus.
Strong local contacts and the ability to shift business to a newly opened hotel.
Expert capability managing business intelligence tools.
