Position: Data Coordinator I - Timekeeping

Location: Dubuque, IA - 52001

Duration: 12 Months (11/30/2026 to 11/29/2027)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, with early-morning coverage beginning at 5:00 a.m. on designated days to support third-shift employees. Final work hours and assignment length to be confirmed.

Description:

Research, extracts, compiles, and analyzes data; develops periodic reports and processes ad hoc reporting requests; assists in documenting and training of related procedures; creates, maintains, and updates databases; and researches and resolves issues associated with information in the database. Duties: Retrieves records or data and distributes information as appropriate in order to provide timely and accurate information to department members or external customers. Updates and maintains databases, systems applications, or files to ensure accurate and current information is available for use by others. Performs analysis of complex nature on information received, and research or resolves issues following prescribed procedures. Gathers and summarizes data from various sources in order to complete reports and special projects. Maintains database systems, ensuring the integrity of the data within each system and resolves issues relating to the database information. Assists with documenting and training the processes used in working with the various database systems.

Position Summary:

Support daily timekeeping activities within the Workforce Management (WFM) system. This role reviews and processes employee timecards, resolves timekeeping discrepancies, maintains leave records, and submits accurate, finalized time data to Payroll. The position supports the timekeeping process—not the calculation or issuance of employee pay, which is handled by Payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process employee time: Verify timecard entries, resolve missing or incorrect information, and prepare finalized time data for submission to Payroll.

• Maintain accurate system records: Research and complete historical timecard corrections and review base-rate and special-rate entries within WFM.

• Provide professional employee support: Listen to employee questions and concerns, explain WFM and timekeeping processes clearly, and follow through on issues with patience, respect, and confidentiality. Answer questions about time entries reflected on paystubs and refer pay-processing questions to Payroll.

• Update leave and absence information: Maintain leave records and ensure related timekeeping entries are accurate.

• Monitor reports and improve processes: Run WFM reports, identify recurring issues, and help develop practical solutions.

• Support employees across shifts: Provide scheduled early-morning WFM assistance for third-shift employees.

• Protect confidential information: Handle employee timekeeping and leave records with accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.

Suggested Qualifications:

• Experience with timekeeping, workforce management systems, or related administrative work.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet recurring deadlines.

• Ability to research discrepancies and solve problems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, explain information clearly, and remain calm and respectful when addressing questions or concerns.

• Comfort working with spreadsheets and electronic records; WFM experience preferred.
