About the Position

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; block schedules approved but not required

Highlights:

• 379-bed short-term acute care hospital with Level II Trauma Center designation
• Emergency Department with 46 beds, 42 treatment rooms, and average daily census of 136 patients
• 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
• Comprehensive Stroke and STEMI facility with full interdisciplinary support
• Epic charting system with 36 hours of paid orientation
• No floating between units; no on-call requirements

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Previous trauma center experience (Level I or Level II) preferred
• Proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke protocols, dysrhythmia management, and triage
