3rd Shift Electrician (11:20pm to 7:10am)

Electrician 3rd Shift (11:20 pm to 7:10 am) at De Soto Operations, De Soto, Kansas. Must be within reasonable commuting distance. What you’ll be doing Provide maintenance support to all areas of the facility and production environment. While the focus will be primarily electrical and electronic systems support, there will be occasions where mechanical skills and work will be needed as directed. Isolate and repair electrical/electronic control circuits to the component level. Be proficient in the use of electrical/electronic test instruments for problem isolation. Use blueprints and circuit diagrams to understand and solve problems. Use hand tools to aid in the repairs of machinery. Understand AC and DC electric power and control circuits. Diagnose PLC systems to determine proper input and output commands, and use a laptop computer with specific PLC programs to understand faults and isolate problems. Understand the various sensors and controls for a specific machine design. Control DC, AC, and servo motors using motor control and feedback devices. Install or replace existing VFD, DC, or servo drives/amplifiers and program them for full operation to factory specifications. Work with electrical heating circuits and temperature feedback devices for monitoring and control. Work the 3rd shift. What you’ll bring to the role Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with exposure to machinery, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Certificate or degree in Industrial Electric Systems or a related trade program. Ability to read, understand, and comprehend written or oral instruction, technical data, blueprints, etc., and to communicate effectively with others. Own tools and good mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machinery. Proper use of all power and non‑power hand tools to safely perform job tasks.
