Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is currently seeking an AARGM Production Program Manager to support the Advanced Weapons Business Unit located in Northridge, CA. This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance with ability to get cleared for SAP. The Production Program Manager will lead and manage production of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM), an air-launched, counter-air-defense weapon system for U.S. and FMS customers. The Production Program Manager oversees production contract execution phases including: kick-off, planning, material procurement, manufacturing, and delivery. Responsibilities Lead and direct cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives Manage DoD customer relationships Measure and report program performance Develop and brief executive level presentations to customer leadership, executive management, and other program stakeholders Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions Support and at times lead the development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools Identify, allocate and manage program resources, including workforce planning Coordinate with Government Property team in support of Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.) Support the management of Intercompany Work Order (IWO) and Independent Suppliers to meet program objectives Adhere to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards Support and at times lead the development and adherence to master plans and integrated master schedules Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization Support and lead proposal preparation process as required Attributes Production Management: Strong understanding of production and manufacturing processes Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial, market, and strategic concepts. Capture Management: Ability to anticipate and shape customer needs. Communication: Skilled at stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and executive-level reporting. Program Growth: Experience identifying and driving business expansion. Proposal Development: Ability to shape RFP responses and deliver compliant proposals. Risk & Opportunity Management: Forward-looking, analytical approach to uncertainty. Familiarity with R&O Mgmt processes. Customer Intimacy: Builds strong, trusted relationships with customers and partners. High Resilience: Integrity and resilience under pressure, and ability to make data-driven decisions. Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of program management experience OR a master’s degree and 6 years of program management experience. 4+ years of managing production programs and leading high performing, cross-functional teams within the aerospace/defense sector Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at or under cost achieving all requirements as either a project lead, integrated program team lead, or cost account manager. Experience with executive level power point presentations Demonstrated competencies with risk, issues and opportunities Management of firm fixed price (FFP) projects Proficiency in project management tools and processes such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management. Current U.S. Government Secret security clearance with ability to get cleared for SAP Preferred Qualifications A degree in science, engineering, or business PMP® certification Experience managing programs as the Prime Contractor for DoD systems Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.

Primary Level Salary Range $161,100.00 - $241,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
