Business Development Associate / Media Holding Companies & Agencies

What You'll Do Identify and engage key decision-makers across major media agencies, holding companies, and enterprise advertising organizations. Build relationships with stakeholders across media planning, buying, programmatic, and investment teams. Execute targeted outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and other channels to create qualified opportunities and schedule Discovery Calls. Develop relationships offline through agency meetings, industry events, networking, coffee meetings, professional gifting, and other high-touch activities. Participate in in-person business development activities approximately 3–4 days per month, depending on market opportunities and account priorities. Partner with Growth Directors on target-account strategy and support opportunities beyond the initial introduction. Track activity and pipeline progress in HubSpot and use tools such as Apollo/Outreach, ZoomInfo, Winmo, Goody, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI tools. Must-have 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, media, advertising, programmatic, media planning, broadcasting, digital media, AdTech, MarTech, or a related field. Understanding of the advertising and agency landscape, including major holding companies, media agencies, planning, buying, and programmatic teams. Experience working with, selling to, or developing relationships within media agencies, holding companies, or enterprise advertisers. Strong new-business development skills across research, strategic prospecting, relationship building, qualification, and pipeline generation. Experience with in-person meetings, networking, industry events, or other offline business development activities. Working knowledge of programmatic advertising and the broader digital media ecosystem. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Proactive, independent approach to managing priority accounts and outreach strategy. Must be based in Los Angeles or Chicago. Nice-to-have Existing relationships within major media agencies or holding companies. Background in programmatic, media planning, media buying, broadcasting, TV, CTV/OTT, or integrated advertising sales.
