This Contract-to-Hire opportunity is ideal for nurses with oncology and infusion experience who are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, laboratory results, treatment response, and psychosocial needsDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plansPrepare and administer infusion therapies, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, and blood products in accordance with established protocolsPerform venipuncture and access, maintain, and troubleshoot implanted ports, PICC lines, and central venous access devicesMonitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in conditionCollaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers regarding symptom management and treatment-related concernsEducate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and self-care strategiesProvide emotional support and advocacy throughout the patient care journeyMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationCoordinate treatment authorizations, scheduling, referrals, and follow-up careAssist with patient triage, telephone assessments, and care coordinationEnsure compliance with OSHA, infection control, chemotherapy safety, and hazardous drug handling guidelinesMaintain treatment areas, supplies, and equipment according to quality and safety standardsCollaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, LPNs, and other clinical team membersInfusion-Specific ResponsibilitiesProgram, monitor, and manage ambulatory infusion pumpsEducate patients and caregivers on infusion pump use and home care instructionsMonitor infusion equipment and ensure proper documentation of usage and maintenanceQualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing programActive Maryland RN License or Compact RN LicenseCurrent BLS Certification3-5 years of Registered Nurse experienceMinimum 1 year of Oncology Nursing experience preferredInfusion Nursing experience strongly preferredONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card preferredOncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferredStrong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skillsWork EnvironmentOutpatient Oncology and Hematology PracticeDay Shift ScheduleExposure to chemotherapy agents, biologics, and other hazardous medicationsFrequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 40 poundsWhy Join This Opportunity?Competitive pay rate of $45-$50/hourContract-to-Hire career pathwayCollaborative and supportive oncology teamOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of oncology and hematology patientsApply today and become part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care.Questions?
