Job Overview A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Trademark and Copyright Associate in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will have 2-4+ years of experience in intellectual property matters, joining a practice that advises clients on developing and expanding their IP portfolios across various global industries. Duties Advise clients on U.S. and international trademark and copyright registration, including clearance, prosecution, and maintenance. Manage and support global trademark and copyright portfolios, including audits, risk assessments, and strategic counseling. Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licenses, assignments, and coexistence agreements. Assist with enforcement of intellectual property rights, including cease-and-desist matters and litigation support in state and federal courts and TTAB. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on trademark, copyright, and related intellectual property issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IP transactions and broader commercial matters. Interface directly with clients, foreign counsel, and government offices, including the USPTO. Requirements 2-4+ years of experience in intellectual property matters. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the state bar. Skills Proficiency in legal research and writing.
