Maintenance Person

Maintenance TechnicianWe're looking for dedicated individuals to join our crew. In this role, you'll work to keep our equipment running at peak performance and efficiency. This work is performed outdoors and subject to the elements, so you'll need to be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.Schedule: Monday–Friday starting at 6:30AM, with occasional Saturdays based on maintenance needs.Job Description/ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, maintain, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.Inspect and conduct preventive maintenance on all equipmentMay maintain facility equipment, on or off site including but not limited to:CranesFork LiftsLoadersNon-ferrous ShearSkid SteerSorting LinesShreddersTrucksTrailersWire StriperPrepare & maintain all maintenance recordsOrganize and maintain cleanliness of Maintenance DepartmentYou will be involved in variety of other responsibilities including ordering parts, welding, and fabricating, minor electrical repairsAbout YouPrevious Maintenance Experience working on large equipment, requiredWelding (Stick & Mig) and fabricating skills are required.High school diploma or GED, preferredFamiliarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators a definite plusOrganizational skills requiredMust be able to lift a minimum of 30 – 50 poundsAbout BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid disability insuranceHSA with company match401(k) with company matchPaid time off starting in the first yearAlter Trading Corporation has been in business for over 127+ years, with 70+ scrap metal processing facilities across the Midwest and Southern regions.
