Systems Analyst

This position may be offered to a candidate authorized to work in the US for his/her/their stated employer, without any restrictions which would prevent the candidate from working on the proposed assignment for the duration of the assignment period.

Must Haves:

Strong analytical skills, communication, team player, System analysis. Appian, SQL and Database knowledge is preferred.

IT- Enterprise BTO department is looking for a systems analyst with strong analytical skills, sound technology experience, and excellent communication.

The right candidate will support multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, working closely with IT, business, and vendor project stakeholders.

The projects are related to applications and capabilities used by various business divisions.

In addition to leading and providing business and systems analysis support, the candidate shall be one of the primary liaisons with business partners to represent the platform and tools (mainly Appian).

Able to provide demos to business as needed.

The candidate shall also assist with maintenance, operational, and other tactical activities, to deliver value to the department and to our customers. Should be able to work independently and be a great team player.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Delivery Planning and Implementation:

• Work on and/or lead multiple tasks in support of one or more projects that use traditional waterfall or Agile methodologies.
• Engages with business and IT stakeholders to identify, understand, document, and review business and nonfunctional scope, requirements, and processes.
• Once the business ask is understood and the conceptual view seems feasible to implement, candidate will need to extend and formalize artifacts needed for Dev and Test – User Stories, System Requirements Specifications, functional process flow diagrams, mockups, data mappings and realistic examples of system input and output data.
• Works with limited direction from Project Manager/Scrum Master, IT Director or Development Manager. Exercises discretion and independent judgment with matters of significance. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Help design test strategy and test plans to ensure accurate and reliable product validation.
• Provide support, guidance, and clarity to test and business teams during system and user acceptance testing.
• Performs “passive testing” – verifying that if developers build what the requirement artifacts say to build, the product will function as needed for the business.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolution of scope related issues during system development, testing, integration, and implementation.
• Stay up to date on current trends and technologies to recommend product offerings or improvements.

Maintenance, Operations, and Business Support:

• Lead and/or support impact analysis related to applications’ maintenance and support, wherever applicable and assigned.
• Ensure minimal reliance on manual work and focus more on automation.

Leadership and Communication:

• Collaborate effectively with IT, business, and vendor project stakeholders to ensure successful product implementations and adoptions.
• Work proactively, independently or as part of a team.
• Positively adapt to a rapidly growing and changing environment, while working under pressure.

Qualifications:

6-10 years of system requirements related work experience.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management systems, or business administration or related experience.

Ability to work independently with a technical and/or infrastructure team.

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong proficiency with SQL, Excel, and Share Point.

Experience in end-to-end analysis, design, implementation, and support of applications of varying implementation methods (on-premises vs. cloud, COTS vs. in-house developed, etc.,).

Experience in writing system requirements, user stories, user guides and delivering project artifacts.

Experience with SDLC and Agile projects, and Operations involving production application maintenance, support, and business operations.
