Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Automotive Sales Leader to oversee and inspire our sales team while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is responsible for driving vehicle sales, developing team performance, coaching sales professionals, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for customer satisfaction, and a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to consistently meet and exceed individual and dealership sales goals.
• Recruit, train, onboard, and develop high-performing sales consultants.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and implement strategies to improve results.
• Foster a customer-first culture focused on transparency, trust, and exceptional service.
• Assist sales consultants with negotiations, product presentations, and closing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance & Insurance (F&I), Service, and Marketing departments to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
• Analyze sales reports, market trends, inventory levels, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage CRM activities to ensure accurate lead management, follow-up, and customer retention.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and high-energy work environment that encourages accountability and teamwork.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while protecting long-term customer relationships.
• Participate in dealership events, community outreach, and manufacturer training programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive sales leadership or sales management experience.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience using dealership CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed.
• Experience with new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
• Manufacturer certification or franchise dealership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
