HR Manager — Austin, Texas Moss Consulting | Full-Time | W2 $37.50 – $50.00/hr | Quarterly Revenue Share

Moss Consulting is looking for an HR Manager in Austin, Texas who is ready to own the HR function — for our team and for the growing group of businesses we support. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes initiative, operates with integrity, and is equally comfortable in the details and in the room with ownership.

What You'll Do

• Own all major HR functions end-to-end — recruiting, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and more
• Manage complex employee relations matters from intake to resolution
• Own the compliance calendar: I-9, FLSA, EEO-1, ACA, and applicable Texas requirements
• Produce and present the HR Integrity Check to leadership
• Lead open enrollment and performance review cycles
• Partner directly with ownership-level leadership — including the hard conversations
• Support client businesses in running effective people operations

Compensation

• $37.50/hr to start, progressing to $50.00/hr across the first year
• Quarterly revenue share on work you manage
• Additional revenue share for any business you originate — no expectation, we simply believe in rewarding our team when they help us grow

What We're Looking For

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations independently
• Full competency in HR compliance auditing
• Comfortable partnering with and advising ownership — including delivering difficult news and pushing back when it matters
• Reliable, a strong contributor, and someone peers count on to move work forward
• Genuine interest in developing others, not just managing tasks
• Experience with EOS is a significant plus — we run on EOS and support EOS-operating businesses, so familiarity with the framework will accelerate your impact here. No EOS background? If you're the right person and open to learning it, we want to hear from you
