Clinical Pharmacist

An opportunity is available for a clinical pharmacist to provide inpatient pharmacy services in a large county health system hospital. This contract position is ideal for those with a PGY1 residency or approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience, with a strong preference for PGY1-trained candidates. Location: Long Beach, CA Schedule: 8-hour shifts Flexibility to work primarily 1st and 2nd shifts, with occasional 3rd shifts as needed Responsibilities: Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the inpatient setting Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards Participate in patient care rounds and provide pharmacological expertise Successfully complete a competency exam prior to starting Undergo background verification through Livescan Desired Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist with current credentials PGY1 residency highly preferred or at least two years of current inpatient experience Ability to adapt to varied shift schedules Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills This contract role serves as a pathway to permanent placement within the health system, which offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, a pension plan, union membership, and opportunities for career advancement.
