Dental Receptionist - Bilingual (English/Spanish) Part Time, (24 hours per week)

We are seeking a mission driven and dedicated Dental Receptionist for our Mobile Dental Clinic based in Hesperia. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Demonstrates the ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish without an interpreter. Committed to providing high-quality care to underserved patients in High Desert. St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers utilizes EPIC for our Electronic Medical/Dental Records (EMR) system. 24 Hours Per Week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm) Must be willing to drive Mobile Dental Clinic as needed $23.00 - $24.60 Per Hour Who We Are. Answer phones and answer general questions. Greet patients upon arrival and provide excellent customer service. Schedule patients, assist with forms, help solve issues related to appointments, insurance / fees, and other general patient questions within our dental clinics. Enters and updates patient's electronic information. Gathers any information relating to patients' dental medical records. Connect patients to dental providers, resourcing patients to informed answers on their dental health. Work with Off Site Partners, scheduling locations and verify availability.

Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED License/ Certifications: California Driver’s License (if driving mobile) and clean driving record Basic Life Safety Certificate (BLS) Experience: Preferred previous experience with patients in a medical or dental setting Ability to resolve patient questions and concerns. Computers savvy and have previous working knowledge of an automated scheduling system. 3 months of cash handling and balancing experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Operates all general business equipment and assists office with all clerical needs Knowledge of grammar, spelling and medical terminology. General knowledge of healthcare insurance and terminology Ability to sort and file by alphabet or terminal digit. Ability to handle cash transactions and balance cash drawers. Highly organized with strong time management skills, being able to perform simultaneous tasks and prioritize tasks effectively. Demonstrates the ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish without an interpreter. Demonstrates interpersonal/cultural sensitivity and work with a diverse and often underserved population.
