Engineering Planner

Compensation: Up to $115K/yr. Based on experience Schedule:40hours/week About the Opportunity: This is a new site for AE, driving cutting edge technology for the organization. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting key New Product Introduction (NPI) processes in collaboration with the Engineering, Supply Chain and Program Management teams at AE. You will be responsible for aligning on material needs to meet key project deliverables and updating the Bill of Materials to help drive the R&D process quicker in collaboration with Engineering. The key candidate would have a background in the SAP ERP system, with a background in Supply Chain or Materials and BOM management. What\'ll Do: Plans, schedules, coordinates or monitors final approval of products through the complete Product Development Process (PDP) Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring availability of material to meet project schedules Manages on-time-delivery goals of products by committed ship date Works to resolve capacity, material constraints and other potential schedule interruptions Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of production material requirements Manages and implements NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Coordinates with engineering to create and maintain Bill of Material (BOMs) in SAP Manages the release of parts, modules or units to appropriate department in production Creates and maintains work orders, purchase requests and internal transfer orders Job Requirements What\'ll Bring: Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Management or Finance or Materials Management or Computer Information Sciences. 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Planning role within the manufacturing industry. 5+ years of experience in team and group setting, collaborating across all levels of an organization. What Sets You Apart: Basic understanding of manufacturing planning/scheduling and the processes associated with MRP/ERP, SAP Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product design and program objectives Excellent judgment and initiative, including the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities Critical thinking and problem-solving skills must be superior. Multicultural experience Demonstrated MS Office skills, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Microsoft Project Schedule management.
