Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Oasis Physical Therapy, you will work in an onsite rehabilitation facility that fosters collaboration and teamwork among healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of residents to assess their physical capabilities, limitations, and therapy needs, establishing a baseline for treatment plans.
• Design and implement personalized therapy plans that focus on enhancing residents' strength, mobility, pain management, and overall functional independence.
• Administer various therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and electrotherapy modalities, to address specific physical impairments.
• Carefully monitor, document, and review patients' progress using our electronic health record system, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as residents progress.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to create a comprehensive care strategy for residents.
• Deliver education and training to residents and their families on home exercise programs, self-management techniques, and lifestyle modifications to promote ongoing health and wellness.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, as well as professional standards, maintaining the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on the geriatric population within our community, encompassing individuals recovering from surgery, suffering from chronic pain, and rehabilitating from various physical ailments. As a Physical Therapist, you will tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of our diverse residents, recognizing their varying mobility levels and personal goals for recovery.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

• A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; higher degrees such as a Master's or Doctorate are strongly preferred.
• Solid communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with colleagues and rapport with patients.
• The ability to exhibit a strong commitment to professional ethics and patient confidentiality at all times.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome all qualified applicants, candidates with at least two years of experience specifically within a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility are highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits

Oasis Physical Therapy offers competitive compensation with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, complemented by an extensive benefits package.
