Elder Law Attorney

Elder Law Attorney Salary: $90,000 - $135,000 per year We are seeking a passionate and experienced Elder Law Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on elder law issues, including retirement asset planning, estate and gift tax, wills, trusts, property law, and Medicaid regulations. This role requires deep knowledge of Virginia law, a Virginia license, and the ability to draft revocable and irrevocable trusts. Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. Develop and implement effective estate and gift tax strategies. Navigate Medicaid regulations and assist clients in planning for long‑term care. Draft revocable and irrevocable trusts tailored to clients’ needs. Advocate for the rights of the elderly in courtrooms, nursing homes, and administrative hearings. Stay updated on the latest changes in elder law and related areas. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Current license to practice law in Virginia and admitted to the Virginia Bar. Minimum of 5 years of experience in elder law, estate planning, and related areas. Experience in retirement asset planning, estate and gift tax planning, and drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts. In‑depth knowledge of wills, trusts, property law, and Medicaid regulations. Strong advocacy skills and passion for elder law. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to client confidentiality. Ability to work independently and manage a high‑volume caseload. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with legal research tools and software.
