Manufacturing Supervisor

Manufacturing SupervisorCan Corporation of America is a leader in the manufacturing of steel cans used in agriculture and various other industries. We are looking for an experienced Bi-lingual Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our production operations in our Blandon, PA location. As the supervisor you will ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and deficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.Day Shift 6:00 am to 6:00 pm | Night Shift 6:00 pm to 6:00 am – Every other week 3 days off. 11.5 hours per night.Duties and Responsibilities:Manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring workflowAccomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresPromotes crew improvements by orienting and training employees; recommending and developing growth opportunitiesMaintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; recommending cost reductions; developing reporting procedures; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departmentsCompletes production plan by recommending changes to employee scheduling; monitoring progress; notifying Scheduling and Operations management of issues, revising schedules as directed; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summariesMaintains quality service by enforcing organization standardsEnsures operation of equipment by notifying support of needed repairsProvides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requestsMaintains and revises systems and procedures by monitoring operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; recommending changesMaintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and proceduresTrains team and enforces sanitation programResolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending actionQualifications:Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Bi-lingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)Ability to work independently or within a teamMust be able to communicate to both management and staff clearly and informativelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills
