More about our team Join our dedicated Imaging team at Harris Regional, an 86-bed facility offering a full range of services including general surgery, women's care, intensive care, and emergency services. Our team is proud to offer a filmless environment, complete with a picture archiving communication system (PACS). The PACS digitally stores and displays medical images allowing for immediate access to patient information and increased efficiency. We work closely with all providers and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient we serve. How you'll contribute An Echocardiology Tech who excels in this role: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. What we're looking for Applicants should have an associate's degree and be echo certified or registry eligible within one year of employment or transfer into position.
