Refrigeration And Air Conditioning Technician
Duties
The employee repairs and maintains a variety of domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems used to condition areas and cool equipment. Selects tools, decides on methods and techniques to use, and installs a variety of parts including major portions of assigned systems and equipment, applying and interpreting information in blueprints, charts, and sketches. Recognizes the cause of faulty equipment. Traces and locates defects, determines nature and extent of repairs required, selects appropriate tools, testing devices, and work sequence. Utilizes established safety practices, rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
