Financial Support Specialist (Entry Level)

One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to support our Federal Government client in Arlington, VA. This position will provide financial, accounting, budget, and compliance support within a federal environment. The ideal candidate will have a foundational background in accounting or finance, experience reviewing financial information, and strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Review accounting practices and financial documentation for compliance with applicable federal laws, regulations, government accounting practices, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance. Review and analyze financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. Assist in identifying discrepancies, improper expenditures, and other financial issues requiring corrective action. Support the preparation of budget requests and other financial documentation for office operations. Organize, review, and maintain financial records and supporting documentation. Perform financial research, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting as needed. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office applications to prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and documentation. Provide general financial and administrative support to the Government client. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. General knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial analysis. Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, accounting, audit support, or similar financial functions preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work onsite in Arlington, VA. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
